Our ecumenical contacts
Beirut is often described as a gateway between East and West. Likewise, as a Church we value our ecumenical contacts and partnerships, believing that through them we contribute to understanding, unity, and peace.
Through the EMS (Association of Churches and Missions in South Western Germany), we partner with a number of local churches in Europe, Africa, and Asia. www.ems-online.org
We foster the Philemon Project in partnership with a Dutch Reformed missionary organisation, the GZB: www.gzb.nl
We are members of the Middle East Council of Churches (MECC), the chief ecumenical body in the Middle East. www.mec-churches.org Through the MECC we are connected to the World Council of Churches: www.wcc-coe.org
As a Church with a roots in the Protestant Reformation, we feel part of the worldwide fellowship of Reformed churches, the World Alliance of Reformed Churches (WARC): www.warc.ch
In the Middle East, we join forces with other Protestant churches in the Fellowship of Middle East Evangelical Churches (FMEEC).
